Land of the 1000 hills
Rwanda is located in central East Africa and is the most densely populated country on the continent of Africa. More than 12 million people live in this small republic. In the land of the 1000 hills, most people live from agriculture. It is one of the poorest countries in the world: about 39% of the population lives on less than $ 1.25 a day. In today’s Rwanda, the economy is developing at a rapid pace and women’s rights are of paramount importance. Rwanda is also one of the safest countries in Africa.
